After my surgery in July, That was a tough time for me being injured 24 weeks out of his year.
I started training Val and Stacia (among many others as you remember) and it was a lifesaver. These other girls have now started their own running groups. In essence, this is to all my girls for getting me back there. Jenny, Audrey, Summer, Danielle, Sarah, Tiffany, Ami and Cathy. but, most of all to Val and Stacia. These girls have no idea how much they have helped me bounce back from discouraging circumstances. They really all have no idea how hard it was to come back from such set backs. Without them, I wouldn't be running.
And and you cant Freeing Sisyphus who pushes me to be the best me everyday.
I started with Val and Stacia wanting to run/walk the 1/2 this weekend. When we started out, they were at 1/4 mile running and that was very difficult for them.
In just 2 short months, they are now up to running 10 miles ...which we all know means they can run the full 13. They have come out in the rain, snow, mornings, late nights. Val has lost 54.5 and Stacia has lost over 50. Talk about success!
Most of all they have seen that they can complete anything they set their mind to. Val has even started doing intense training with me at my location in Pboro. In January,we will open in Danville.
I am so thankful to Melinda and Logan for giving me these spaces to make a difference in the lives of others. I hope to not only do it physically but spiritually and emotionally. They nicknamed me Jillian Jr. BC I try to get to the root of the desire to give up.
Every word I utter to them, I also uttering to myself. I love these girls and I don't know where I would be without them
My marathon shirt for this weekend says Jillian Jr. I am not even worthy to kiss her feet but I am so thankful that they see me this way.
I can not express how thankful I am for these girls and the many others for keeping me inspired. check out their journey. Now on to hydration and getting ready to show this marathon who is boss! (yea tell me that at 20 miles)
Adventuresses in healthy living.
